Hi,
Many of you may know about my site InFocus.
I have a new live chat room ready to go on, but I am not sure what kind of a response it'll get. Would any of you people like to see a live filmmaking chat room, and if so, would you use it?
As far as i know, there arnt any chat rooms on filmmaking out there (apart from deserted ones)
Any comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

Oh I thought you must have given up on this idea.
I'm glad you are doing it though.
You have to make it easy to get into or people won't bother.

Dear Mr. Jason,
Hello. I have just registered here and I wanted to let you know that I'm am obligated to become a film maker. It is my destiny... I know. Everytime I see a movie, I feel different, like that movie is a part of me now. The concept of film excites my brain so much that I know I will do it someday. I don't even know you... how old are you anyways? I am thinking of making a web-site for young film makers. More like a club to help you get started with your dream. If you would like to join me, I would be happy to have your assistance. Thank you very much and please write me back....I need some answers.
Sincerely,
Toni R.

Yeah a live chat would be good, but its the age old problem of seperating the idiots from the true ,interested people. Nobody is knocking inexperience here ,its just that the few bad apples sometimes spoil the barrel. I gave up on the chat rooms years ago because they were so unapproachable.....like an elite club that didnt like strangers encroaching on their territory. So if you can overcome these obstacles ,then good luck to you and i for one will visit the chat.
thanks

Cheers for all the response,
I will go ahead with the chat page..
The access will be easy, as you wont have to register.
As for the weirdos getting on, i will try to go for a service where you can ban people.
I let you all know when it goes live, i have my fingers crossed that i get enough hits to have two or more people there at the same time! (it defeats the object if you are talking to yourself!)
I get about 400 hits per day, so it should go ok. You'll all have to fill it up for me!
Thanks again for the respose, remember if any of you think your up to writing me an article for the site, please send away (details on the site).
thanks,
Jason

indeed!
watch this space.
I was also considering getting a voice chat option.
possible web sites for free chats are
parachat.com and
liveuniverse.com
If you know any good sites that offer a free chat service (even better if it has voice chat) then let me know ( [email protected] )

Sorry, but the last 3 times I was in your chat, nobody else was in there, besides me anyway, maybe you should advertise more, I would like to have the opportunity to give and take some tips, and find some crew for my future films, thanks,
